Safety is part of every plan.
It isn’t a settings page. It’s in how Stub works: verified people, public places, and tools that sit right on the plan, from the day you say yes until you’re home.
Before you meet
Everyone is selfie-checked.
A live selfie check must match the profile photos before anyone can post a plan, send interest or see full profiles. Faces linked to banned accounts are caught and reviewed by a person.
Public places only, always.
Plans happen at cafés, restaurants and bars. Never homes, hotel rooms or private clubs. The venue can’t be changed in chat; a different place means cancelling and posting a new plan.
No chat until there’s a plan.
Chat opens only once a plan is confirmed, and it’s text only: no photos or voice notes. Phone numbers, links and social handles are flagged before the date.
Only what’s needed.
Your selfie is deleted after 30 days. Your precise location is used for check-in and SOS only, and never stored.
On the day
Share your plan.
Send the venue, time and your live location to up to 3 trusted contacts by SMS. The link works until 2 hours after your plan ends.
SOS on the plan.
On the plan and date-day screens. Calling 112 is one tap. Hold for 1.5 seconds to send your live location to your trusted contacts and alert the Stub safety team.
A team on call.
SOS and safety alerts reach a person on call from 9:00 am to 1:00 am, the hours dates happen. They call you first, then your contacts or the venue, and 112 if there is any sign of danger.

If something feels wrong
Report anything.
From any profile, chat or plan. A safety report suspends the other account straight away while we review it, with a target of 2 hours during on-call hours.
Block in one step.
Blocked or reported people disappear for you immediately. If you block someone because you felt unsafe, any plan with them is cancelled with no penalty for you.
First-date tips, from people who’ve been on a few.
Step 1: Stay in public
Keep the date at the venue on the plan. If they suggest moving somewhere private, you can say no and leave.
Step 2: Get there your own way
Arrange your own ride there and back, and keep your phone charged.
Step 3: Tell a friend
Share your plan before you go, so someone knows where you are until you’re home.
Step 4: Trust your gut
You can leave any time. If anything feels off, use SOS or report it afterwards.
In an emergency, call 112. For anything else, write to support@getstub.in.
What we don’t allow
Harassment, pressure, asking for money, explicit content, fake profiles and anyone under 18. The community guidelines spell it out.
